Have you ever had that moment when you are on a trip and you realize you forgot something at home!

This has been me before and it is not fun, especially if the item that you need is for your kiddos.

With two kiddos, I know how stressful it can be and staying organized and prepared are key to having little to everyone being happy . This is why I decided to create this list of items that you  need for your next trip to Disney.

Now let’s jump right in, we have a lot to cover.

Let’s start with medicine, medicine is by far one of the most important item on your Disney packing list especially when you are going to be away from home. From allergic reactions to diarrhea to being car sick, these things can happen and you want to be as prepared as you can. Your medicine bag is also something that you can pack months in advance as well. I am actually planning on doing this early as our trip is in about 6 months and I don’t want to forget anything.

Think about packing these items:

Bonus Packing Tips

Use a packing list or create one

Instead of just packing and trying to remember what you need. Start off with a packing list and write it on a piece of paper. Doing this will keep you organized, prepared and ultimately be less stressed.

Pack early

Be sure to start packing a minimum of a week before you leave for your trip. Packing early will help you to be sure that you have everything that you and your family need. As well as reducing stress. If you pack the day before not only will it be a mess, but you are more likely to forget things.

Pack clothes that you can layer

It is always a great idea to pack clothes that you can layer. Weather can be unpredictable, one second it’s hot the next it’s raining,  you may have a hotel room that you can’t control the ac/ heat.  So pack simple layering clothes like a t-shirt, tank, pants, legging, then add in a light sweater or hoodie and rain jacket. If it is winter add in a warm jacket.

Don’t overpack

This step is so overlooked and can cost you money if you do not overpack. Try to leave room in your suitcase or bring an empty duffle bag as a carry on. You will purchase items when you are at the park or at Disney Springs and you want to have room to bring these items back.

You do not want to end up having to purchase a bag and pay extra to check an extra bag. I have done this before, but luckily my husband took this into account so we used his suitcase for the items that we purchased to bring home.

If you are driving, be sure to save some room in your car or trunk.

Pack you clothing by outfits

Having your clothes already set by outfits will make things so much easier, especially with kids. For the kids outfits even put their socks and underwear with their outfits. You can use packing cubes or gallon Ziplock bags to put the outfits in, if you can not get either of these things just fold the outfits nicely and put socks and underwear in between the clothes.
